Q.Dogwood tree

I have a 50 year old dogwood that has holes in it and the bark is easily peeled off, some falling off. What can I do that is a natural treatment to try and save it. It partially bloomed. Should I cut off the limbs that did not bloom?

It could be dogwood borers. The only solution is pesticide treatment. Here are a couple articles that should help:
