Anonymous added on April 29, 2014 | Answered

I have a 50 yr old dogwood. Last year I noticed some round holes in the trunk and upper branches. There are 6 or 7 holes in a straight line across in 4 or 5 places What do I do?

This is woodpecker damage. They normally damage trees that have a pest infestation. Here is more information on woodpeckers: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/animals/woodpecker-damage-trees.htm
