Q.Dogwood Trees

Anonymous added on August 8, 2011 | Answered

I have a couple of dogwood trees. This Saturday I noticed that one of them has leaves that have turned brown. It looks pretty dead. What can I do to save my tree? One of my horses chewed a good bit of the bark off, but that’s been a couple years ago.

How old is the tree? Dogwoods only have a life expectancy of about 10-15 years. If it is around this old or older, then it could simply be dying of old age.

Do you see any other issue with the tree? This might help us better pinpoint if it is something other than old age.
