does the orchid plant tend to have lots of leaves?

I have an orchid plant that I grow indoors. It blooms once a year in March/April and lasts about a month or two. The flowers die off but I keep the leaves green and moist.

(if the soil sticks to my finger it has enough water, otherwise I water it)
