Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI am trying to root an old garden rose in water, do I place it in moderate sunlight in window? I usually root in soil and would like to give it a try since it is really hot here in Mississippi now. Thanks

Rooting will generally occur in 3-4 weeks but some plants will take longer. When the roots are 1-2 inches long or longer the cutting is ready to be potted up. Choose a bright indirect location.
