Q.Does it matter where in the US zone 5 is?

Zone Bristol, Connecticut Zone 5 | MyGreenThumbTherapy added on September 13, 2019 | Answered

One of the articles I read was about fall planting in zone 5 in Wisconsin. I live in CT, zones 5 & 6. Does planting in the Fall differ from state to state regardless of similar zones or no?

Hello. The USDA says the zone map is based on the "average annual minimum winter temperature, divided into 10-degree F zones." The hardiness zones can be the same from one state to another.
