Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in NY and am wrapping my tiny fig tree for the winter. It seems to me that all the wrapping will prevent the tree from getting any water during the winter. Is it so? Thank you.

Make sure you have a cold hardy variety of Fig.
You will not be able to winter over your Fig Tree outdoors in your growing zone. Even wrapped the tree will not survive in temperature below 25 degrees.
A wrapped tree needs to still allow for air circulation and moisture.
You will need to make your tree go dormant and store in a cool, dry location.
