eliminating weeds from new Zoysia sod

Do you have tips for eliminating weeds from new Zoysia sod? The Zoysia sod was planted about six weeks ago. It is chock full of weeds of every kind. I have been hand pulling but it is ridiculously time consuming and sore my hands besides. It would take 100-200 hours to weed my smallish-medium front lawn. I have been told that chemical treatment in the first year will damage the sod. Any suggestions for me? Kind of discouraging to spring for new sod and then have all these weeds. I will say that it is nice and green, and looks good when mowed if you don’t look too close. The other issue with hand pulling weeds is that it leaves divots and bare patches.
