do willow trees flower twice a year?

I bought a willow tree for my mum about 4 years ago and every year it loses the catkins and leaves and flowers again. My mum didn’t think that willow trees flower twice a year. Is she right or do willow flower twice a year?

The answer is no, in early spring the stems break and catkins form.
When the catkins grow they produce flowers.
