Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHi, I did tulips for the first time this year. The orange/yellow, pink and purple ones are doing well but the white and yellow ones have not blossomed yet. I see a few heads peeking up but can’t help but wonder if the other ones will be past their prime by the time these bloom. They are all planted in the same place and I made sure that they were planted deeply enough so I don’t think that’s it. As an aside, I have also noticed that the hyacinth I put in 2 seasons ago has a similar issue. The white blooms first, followed by the pink and purple. I have no way of knowing what type of tulips these are other than they came from a local garden center and they are small, not “emperor” style. I cannot upload photos at this time but I do appreciate your time. Thanks for your help!

I didn't find anything that said tulip color affected bloom time. Besides the variety and whether it blooms early, mid or late, bloom time is affected by weather, sunlight, and soil conditions.
