Q.Do Rubber Trees Get Blossoms?

Zone 16443 | isabel86 added on May 15, 2013 | Answered

A friend of mine has a cutting off of our 49 year old rubber tree and he trimmed it and now it has red spikes growing all over it. Are they blossoms?

Most likely, it's new growth coming from nodes that were "activated" when the cutting was taken. check to see that it's the same as growing tip on existing branches.
