Q.Do Lemon Tree Thorns Vanish?

Anonymous added on March 9, 2021 | Answered

Hello, I was reading your article on lemon-trees and their thorns. I was hoping you could clarify a point since the author seemed to suggest that as a lemon or citrus tree reached maturity, it would no longer produce thorns.

It says that as the tree matures, it loses the delicate nature of its leaves and fruit which predators want to nibble. It no longer needs the protection of the thorns so they diminish.
