Q.Do Kangaroo Paw Ferns Like To Be Pot Bound?

Zone Chester, VT 05143 | Ragsanchance added on January 20, 2020 | Answered

I was gifted with a Kangaroo Paw Fern last year. It is doing OK, but very pot bound. Should I re~pot it, or do they like being pot bound?

They can tolerate being root bound for quite some time before requiring a change, however, they perform much better with yearly division. Ultimately, it is up to you, or may be necessary if your plant is showing signs of stress.
