Do I Separate Clumps of Tulip Bulbs When Moving Them

I am in the process of digging up tulip bulbs to move to a new location. Upon digging them up, I am finding clumps of bulbs of different sizes together. Do I separate these clumps into individual bulbs or plant the whole clump intact?

If the tulips are overcrowded, then you can separate the bulbs and replant elsewhere (or even give some away to others). Otherwise, you can simply separate the clumps themselves and replant.
