Q.Do I Need To Prune My Peony Tree?
I have a beautiful peony’s tree. It doesn’t get many blooms. They’re big yellow sweet smelling flowers but I only get 3-4 every year. Do I have to or need to prune back my beautiful tree to get more flowers? Thank you in advance. And thank you for this wonderful gardening web site. It’s very helpful.

Pruning is not done for flowering with this one. Pruning should, only, be done to remove dead or dying material. Properly, slightly, alkaline soil and proper nutrition will be the primary way to proper flowering with this species.
