do i need to protect newly planted trees and bushes from a frost

Just purchased some trees and bushes from a mail order catalog, and was wondering if I have to protect them from the frost.

You may or may not, you can if you want, but it you don't, the frost may nip the buds or cause some damage, i would if i were you.
