Q.Do I Need To Get Rid Of Caterpillars?or Will They Simply Turn Into Butterflies?.

I don’t really want to destroy them unless I have got to.

If they aren't doing too much damage, I would leave them be. Most caterpillars are butterflies or moths. There are a lot more moths than butterflies. They don't usually defoliate a whole plant and usually it does not permanently harm the plant.

If you feel they are completely eating prized plants you can use control methods that don't harm beneficial insects.
