Q.Do I need to do anything to my soil after digging up my irises because of root rot caused by a flood

after a very toxic flood last October my Irises were covered in mud then the root rot irises removed and damaged ones destroyed is it safe to replant in the same area

You can replant in the same area, but first I would replenish the area with fresh soil.
