Do I need to cut the seed pods off my oriental poppies?

You don't have to unless you are wanting to harvest and save the seeds, though for appearance sake it wouldn't hurt to do so. Once the blooms have faded and the seed pods have browned, you can simply cut the entire stem back to the ground.
