Q.Do I need to buy an apple tree in pairs?

Zone Las Vegas, Nevada | noranlv89 added on February 17, 2015 | Answered

I went to our local nursery to buy an apple tree that will grow in Las Vegas, Nevada. The sales person told me I need to buy two apple trees; otherwise, it will not grow and bear fruits. Is it necessary for me to buy two apple trees so they will both grow and bear fruits?

This is correct; you need at least two apple trees of different varieties for pollination to take place.
