Do I cut the flower after it blooms and dies?

My gladiolas bloomed and now they died. Do I cut the stem or just pull the dead flower off?

You can cut the flower stems off but leave the leaves until they turn yellow. The plant needs the leaves to build energy for the next year’s bloom.
