Do All Papaver Somniferum Produce Edible Seeds?

I am looking to plant poppies to harvest seeds. Do all Papaver somniferum produce edible seeds?

Be sure to check with local ordinances to be sure that variety is legal to grow. I also read it is best to use commercial seeds for baking, rather than to grow your own. (Seeds can be contaminated during harvesting.) But yes, that is the variety grown for seeds (as well as opiates).
