Dividing Tulip Bulbs

The article on Dividing Tulip Bulbs talks about everything but the actual dividing. We here at my office are newbies and while we see that the mother bulb has babies clustered around her, we want to know if you just pull the babies off before storing or if you store them all together and then pull them apart just before planting? And, is just pulling them apart the proper way to divide them? Hope you can help. Thank you.

Yes, simply pulling them apart is the proper way to separate them. You can leave the babies on for storing and then pull them off before planting them.
