Q.Dividing an over grown Peace Lily
I followed all the directions to divide this plant. It was huge and about 6 years old and it was root bound. I thought I did it right, but it’s been weeks and the plant divisions are still very droopy from where the leaves curve down off the stem. I decided to put them in just water. When I bought the plant it was in water with a beta fish. I have grown tropical plants in just water and they have been that way for over 10 years…what did I do wrong, and should I have more patience?

It appears the root structure is overwhelmed by the pot size.
This can cause overwatering and root rot.
I would suggest repotting with a good quality potting mix and a smaller pot size with drainage.
