Q.Disposing Of Close Of Lawn With Earth Attached
A neighbour kindly offered to tidy up my garden as I haven’t been well enough this last year to do it, but she ‘straightened’ up the flower beds by taking 6inches of weedy lawn, my local garden recycling won’t take it if I pile it up in a corner how can I get it to rot down, do I cover it with something,

If you can shake out the dirt, you can throw the grass and weeds into the yard recycle bin. You also can start a compost heap if you don't have one. As long as the weeds haven't gone to seed, or they don't have tenacious roots, you can compost them.
Covering it with clear plastic will heat it up and kill any pathogens and living organisms such as with solarization. It will kill the lawn and weeds, so it should decompose quicker. I would spread it out rather than pile it up, though.
