Dill Turning Brown

Transplanted small fernleaf dill into a plastic pot with bagged potting soil. It’s in full sun and has been watered daily. Leaves at base of plant and around edges are now brown/yellow. What could be the problem? Should I transplant it into the ground? I want to have fresh dill heads for pickles this summer.

Dill does not transplant well, so I suspect that it is in transplant shock. It may pull through, but you may want to just start dill seeds straight into the container you wish or grow them in as well.
