Hi for a 2nd time I have what looks like a” bean” growing a few in each of them . I thought the first time it was a flower? but no it rots away hangs down looks awful then and cut it off . Or is it to be put in a new pot and grow a new 1 ?? The florist does not know ? In the summer it is out in my backyard from May till October .grows very well and a lot got ”Baby ” plants from the 1 I bought 20 years ago :).

It does appear to be a flowering stalk, but if it rots off, I think that it may be related to disease. I wish I could see the damage as it is happening. That would be helpful to make an assessment.

Unfortunately, most of the symptoms and causes overlap. It will be up to your judgement to know which way it, likely, leans towards.

Over and underwatering, being too cramped in its pot, stress, and bacterial infections are most common. If the plant has never been fed, then it may be time, or time to refresh the soil. Most of these can be checked and verified.
