Q.Did Not Harvest Garlic

Anonymous added on November 2, 2011 | Answered

Hi, I planted my garlic last fall that my brother gave to me. I split it up in early spring and it grew and was looking great. One day in August, I went to the garden and the leaves had fallen over. I watered but nothing happened. I just left them alone until they were gone. Last week I went to the garden and noticed that my garlic had grown again, about 4 inches high. Do you think the new growth will be ok as far as the garlic tasting alright when I harvest it (now that I know when and how to)?

It should be fine. You may find that there are many bulblets but they can be used just like garlic cloves.
