Desert Rose info
so the other day the top portion of my bonsai desert rose broke(training wire was pulling too much I think) planted that into a 90/10 ground pumice and soil mixture. no rooting hormone, just kept soil mixture moistened. That was Friday. Monday I came in did the same all day was speaking with some coworkers thinking it was dead as it had turned a bit brown. went to pull out and it already had a few hearty roots grown about a 1/2 inch long. now a week later I'm seeing new growth start not sure that the rooting hormone or that much time is needed..:D just my experience though.

Yes give it some time like that, not more rooting hormone if it has already shown some new roots it's in good shape. Water and a little love and good things happen. You are on the right track it seems.
