Q.desert rose

About four years ago I got a desert rose plant (all white multi-petal flowers) about a year ago a seed pod grew directly out of the trunk, it matured and fell off, since that time a new stem has grown from that spot, the new stem has different shaped leaves and is producing five petal pink flowers, don’t have a clue why?

Thanks, Pat

It sounds like your plant is producing a sport.
This is a genetic mutation.
You can prune away this stem or leave it!
