Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comThis year I am getting deformed hibiscus buds on my shrub. The bud appears, but deformed, and they open up with petals all ratter-tatterd, almost an eaten look. I don’t find any bugs or beetles on them.
Also, my marigold blooms seem to be being picked apart by something, with petals laying on the ground from the base of the flower. Birds???
Thank you.

It certainly could be birds, but also insects or even cut worms of some kind.
Insects are more common on Hibiscus then Marigolds.
I would use Neem Oil as a treatment. It works as both an insecticide and fungicide.
