Are gardenias deer resistant?

There are no plants that are 100% deer resistant, but many are deer tolerant. One of these includes the gardenia. This shrub does not seem to be as attractive to deer as most others; therefore, it would be suitable to plant in a location prone to deer invasions, as it is reasonably resistant.
