I am not sure what is the question or if you forgot to post a picture. Plants that stay potted for too long become root bound. To prevent that, the plants either have to be root pruned regularly or moved into larger pots. At some point, the nutrients are exhausted and the plant cannot get enough food and lacks enough water. You can reuse the pot for something else. I would discard the potting mix and use new potting mix that is appropriate for the new plant going into the pot. Plastic pots may heat up a lot during our 100F++ degree summer temps in Texas so keep the new plant's roots sufficiently moist. Confirm that the water drainage holes still work and make new ones if necessary.
