Q.Dead Leaves Left On Maple Tree Last Fall/winter, Will They Get Pushed Off When New Spring Leaves Come On?
I have only lived in this house for 2 years, so I do not know what kind of maple tree this is, it is not huge but each year it leaves its dead leaves on the branches, the first year I pulled them off, (quite an undertaking) and this year i did not, and where there is limbs that were bear near the top the reddish leaves are starting to come out, I’m worried, should I try to strip the other branches now? It has been unusually warm here in Santa Maria, CA

It looks like a Japanese maple and you don't have to remove the leaves. They should eventually drop and be replaced by new leaves.
