Deadheading Christmas Cacti

My daughter tells me that I should pull the faded bloom off the stem once it has bloomed completely; is this correct, or should I allow the bloom to fall off by itself? Thanks.

Either one is acceptable. You can pinch the bloom off once it has faded or allow it to drop off on its own. This is more of a personal choice and will not affect the plant.
