Daylilies

Hello,
When the flower on a day lillies is spent do I cut back that spent flower to the base of the plant? Is it necessary to cut back that flower right away or should I wait until the flower has dried?

Cutting the spent flower and stem close to the base of the plant should encourage to rebloom.
