Q.Datura bedding plants
I bought several Datura bedding plants at a greenhouse yesterday. I had never seen them before and the lady there said they are lovely and grow very well. When I got home I researched them and am a little concerned about planting them in my garden- from what I understand they are quite toxic and not sure if I understand it correctly. I am concerned about putting them in the garden in case they may harm the humming birds or butterflies – apparently they do not harm bees. If they are that toxic and may do harm I would rather not have them around.
Could you please advise me about them
Thanks
Anita
Verify the plant that you purchased, a true Datura or is it a Brugmansia?
