Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comIn a sliced tomato I noticed thin black strands under the surface and randomly throughout a tomato. I haven’t noticed these before. Is this a problem or a characteristic of a specific species of tomato? Three photos are attached.

It could be related to a soil issue, the type of fertilizer used, or even hard water. If there are other symptoms, this article may help:
