Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI’ve got a crepe myrtle thats around 14 years old and over the winter it sustained some damage due to snow. The tree had some limbs snap off and actually split the trunk pretty far down, almost to the base of the tree, and I’m wondering how to save her. She looks healthy enough. Should I wire her together or just trim her back?

I would say to wire it back together, but with damage that extensive, you would be best having a local arborist look first hand at the damage and recommend the best course of action.
