Q.Dahoon Holly Or Eagleston Holly

Zone 34211 | Anonymous added on February 14, 2021 | Answered

Hi – I’m going to be receiving a Dahoon Holly similar to the two large trees in the picture. Seems substantial and full in relation to the houses. Would you have an opinion whether an Eagleston Holly would be less substantial and full looking for these type of properties, or about the same?

The Eagleston holly is a hybrid of the Dahoon. It can grow up to 25 feet and has a pyramid shape. The Eagleston may be less prone to problems and may be a hardier variety. As far as size goes, it seems that they are generally similar in height and breadth.
