Dahlias – container growing

Do I need to limit the dahlias to one tuber per pot?

How big should the pot be for one dahlia, or how big for more than one dahlia?

Thank You,
Anna

Anna,

Dahlias come in a variety of mature sizes – from 12-14″ tall to 6 feet tall. You need to consider the mature size of the plant in order to answer your question. I’d allow 1 tuber per 12″ pot for most size dahlias and maybe a bit larger pot for a dinner plate or tall variety.
