Q.Daffodil Flowers

Anonymous added on March 12, 2014 | Answered

For the past few years my daffodil flowers have been shreaded. Every morning I wake to a few more flowers that were just ready to open fully laying in shreads on the ground. I know the plant itself is toxic, but what could be destroying the buds and is there anything I can do to prevent this from continuing?

The leaves are toxic, but the buds are less so. I suspect that a rodent of some kind is gnawing on the buds. You can try treating the area with predator urea or blood meal.
