Why is it that many of my daffodils will produce a healthy large growth that contains not one single blossom ??? These growths are in a light woods area and some plants within the same area will produce abundant blossoms. All of these plants were placed many years ago. What is strange is that the same “condition” will take place every year, altho, I’m not sure if it is the same plants that do not produce blossoms. Jack

It is very likely that the patch is old, and at the end of its life. If there are other patches nearby then this would be my best guess. The next likely solution is that the particular area is lacking in potassium and phosphorus. This is much less likely but still a possibility.
