Cyclamen Plants

Q.Cyclamens

Anonymous added on November 20, 2016 | Answered

I bought a cyclamen to keep indoors and I don’t know if it’s the tropical or hardy kind. It didn’t come with a care label. The blooms are droopy and leaves have turned yellow because I forgot to water it. Is there any way to save it? what should I do to have the plant come back? Should I repot it now or wait until it recovers/comes back?

You most likely purchased a tropical Cyclamen for an indoor location.
Cyclamen do like a cool temperature and sometimes the indoor temperatures are to much for the plant.
Yellowing leaves can indicate watering issues, to much or to little.
The soil should be damp but not soggy. You should not water into the crown of the plant as this can cause the plant crown to rot.
Remove the spent flowers to encourage more blooms.
Do not repot the plant.
