Cutting Wisteria From Chain Link Fence To Train On Trellis?

Question

Planted last year, wintered well, already bloomed, but I need to take away from chain link. If I try to untangle as much as possible without breaking tendrils, does this type of vine survive a retraining?

Yes, and it also tolerates severely cutting back if that would be easier.
