Q.Cutting off all the foliage on dracaena canes is OK to do?
The helpful article on growing dracaena plants said that the stems/canes could be cut down and the foliage would come back. I have a 3 cane plant that is about 5 feet tall but lost nearly all the leaves when I re-potted it – now each cane has about a dozen leaves at the very top. I wanted to double check before simply cutting off all the foliage! The foliage is healthy, but the plant is quite “leggy”! I would like to cut all three canes back to 2 – 3 feet, staggering the heights. Just wanted to be sure I would not kill the plant this way. Please advise! Thanks!

Be cautious, consider cutting just one at a time and wait until you are sure it re-sprouts before cutting another.
Best time to prune is spring and summer when the plant is actively growing.
