Cutting Back Split Leaf Philodendron

We live in Hilton Head, SC. Do we need to cut back our split leaf philodendron in our back yard? Same question for the Lemon Balls. Thank you.

Are those lemon ball sedums you have? They can be lightly pruned in spring if they need to be cleaned up.
