Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have this 10’tall large tree (Phil) I want to cut back to about 5/6′. Will it hurt the plant? Its such a conversation plant. Its growth of many leaves are at or near the top, more-less a leggy tree-span with many roots spanning all the way to its huge pot.

I would say this will be fine, but you will want to make sure you leave some leaves so that the new shoots have some way to generate energy. You won’t want to cut off more than a third of the plant at once anyways.
