Q.Cutting Back Dayilillies

Zone 22042 | Anonymous added on June 24, 2024 | Answered

Once I removed all spent blooms on a stem, should I cut back the stem? What about cutting back the stems on irises? Thank you.

Yes, once the blooms fade, you can cut off the stems on daylilies and irises. Leave the foliage, though, to let it nourish the rhizomes.
