Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in extreme northern Vermont and I have a huge hibiscus that I am planning on taking in for the winter. Do I need to cut the plant back in the spring, or when should I do this to promote more flowers next season?

If you are bringing it in for the winter, the best time to cut it back is right after you bring it in. Cut it back by 1/3. This will make it easier for the plant to survive the winter, which will result in a larger plant with more flowers next year.
